Delivered by View from The Hill Consulting, Nicky Hewitt and her team will draw on a wide range of commercial, coaching and tourism experience to help local businesses generate revenue and customer engagement over the key summer period. 

 

 

This 75 minute workshop will be delivered on-line and have a maximum of 5 attendees to ensure it is fully interactive, relevant and provides valuable insight appropriate to those taking part.

 

 

Topics covered will include:

·       Creating added value to drive revenue

·       Maximising an online profile

·       Covid safe practices for customers and staff

·       Generating referrals and testimonials

·       Flash promotions to fill vacancies

 

 

The seminar will provide a great opportunity to network with other SME tourism businesses and share best practice.

 

Each attendee will be offered a one hour, individual, follow up consultancy session with View from the Hill.

Nicola Hewitt has extensive sector experience having worked for the West Midlands Growth Company and developed the first regional tourism strategy for the West Midlands area. This involved working closely businesses ranging from venues, to accommodation providers, experiential businesses and the creative sector. As the company lead for tourism, she worked closely with Visit Britain, the Midlands Engine tourism group and a range of local DMOs. Before working at the Growth Company, Nicola had 20 years of marketing and business development experience, working in business to consumer companies. For the past fifteen years, she has mentored and coached both internal teams and external clients, believing that people should manage to their strengths to become truly successful.

 

 

Helen Geach is a freelance website designer with over 20 years’ experience in marketing and multimedia. She has been supporting SME businesses to build and promote themselves online for the last 14 years specialising in website construction and design, search engine optimisation and corporate identity creation. Helen is also the owner of two, highly successful, holiday homes She has established her tourism business over the past five years and believes that attention to detail, fantastic customer service and an ability to create an experience unique to her location, are what has enabled her to build this successful business from scratch.

 

 

Jane Hemingway is an experienced Business and Leadership Coach who works with business owners, leaders and entrepreneurs to determine strategic direction, priorities and accelerate growth. With an early career in events, hospitality and tourism, Jane brings a depth of sales, marketing and business development experience including diversification, business financial modelling, franchising, start-up and growth. During the pandemic, Jane worked closely with event management companies, tourism, hotel and related businesses to survive or pivot and thrive, supporting business owners to think creatively, maintain optimism, remain focused on possibilities and the long-term view.
