This networking event focuses on creating access for all within the sector. Ross Calladine, VisitEngland Disability and Access Ambassador, will be joining us to update us on the national tourism board's strategy towards accessible tourism, which includes improvements to quality of service and helping businesses to ensure they are doing all they can to support disabled customers. VisitEngland have developed a new Accessible Tourism Toolkit for destination management organisations - Ross will expand on the toolkit further during his guest speaker slot. The event will also feature a section on inclusive employment.

The purple pound plays an important part in the UK's wider economy and the talk will include a round-up piece on how your business can tap into this consumer market.

Mark Palmer, Senior Employer Manager for the Mercian District of DWP and Judy Gibbs, Director of Skills from Worcestershire LEP will also be joining us. They will talk to you about the topic of inclusive employment - how you as businesses can get involved and extend your workforce using an often unthought of labour market, as well as how to support existing staff that maybe facing health challenges. The session will support you to understand the pathways for young people and those with health challenges into employment that can be offered by tourism employers and bringing information on the services designed to support and enable inclusive recruitment to happen.
